Join us for a fascinating evening dedicated to the life and work of Lee Miller, one of the most captivating and trailblazing figures in 20th-century photography. Just a day before the release of Lee in Spain, the highly anticipated film starring Kate Winslet, art historian and Lee Miller expert Katherine Slusher will take us on a journey through the photographer's extraordinary career and indelible impact.
As an accredited war correspondent, Miller documented pivotal moments of World War II with striking humanity, from the Liberation of Paris to the haunting images of liberated concentration camps. Her daring spirit, as well as her profound artistry, cemented her as a pioneer in both fashion photography and photojournalism.
This event is a perfect prelude to visiting Lee Miller: Chronicles of War, the current exhibition at FotoNostrum in Barcelona, which showcases 124 of Miller’s photographs spanning her groundbreaking career.
